There are some narrow, reedy stretches where boats may have to be dragged through in low water. Take care when approaching the two weirs in this section, especially in high water. The first weir is nearly 5km from the start before the river swings to the right. They are best portaged on the right. After the second weir, there is deep unobstructed water to Camden.
