Use the map and index to explore a State, region and drill down to find car access and facilities on a river, bays or coast. Search by name or filter by a type of water: flat, white or sea; grades and water heights; length of trips; Clubs, businesses, accommodation or good camping spots; or special points of interest for the paddler or their friends. Plan a trip by researching previous Waterways trips or make up your own, check today’s weather and sea conditions, river levels and grades, and much more. Join the community, it’s FREE, and after you select a Waterways Guide trip you would like to take, email to friends to suggest a time and place to meet. Or download the FREE Waterways mobile APP to plan, share and log a trip plan you created or one you like from the Guide. The Trip Plan works through comprehansive preparation for a safe and enjoyable event. An experienced paddler will leave details with a home-base should the unexpected happen. Find out how & more

Once you’ve used the site and been on many great trips, you can keep reminders for next time. Build your profile and share what, when and where you like to paddle to find other paddling partners. Keep a log of your paddling trips and star your favourite waterways and access points for speedy reference. Make a short cut to current river levels. Keep a contact list of paddling friends for quick invites to trips that you organize. Your contributions to the Website will be listed here.

Enhance the site and share with other paddlers new trip ideas and access points Add a video or image to a descriptions its worth a thousand words. And after you join the Community you can add a comment to any of the descriptions and submit new trip ideas, access points, a business, accommodation or special points of interest for non-paddlers too. The Waterways team welcome suggestions for improvement and offers of support and envisions Clubs or paddling groups to adopt a local waterway to review and enhance. .

Trips on the Go!
Trip Coordinators can elect to publish trip ideas to the Community. When this feature is used, the ‘what, when, where’ trip information and the contact for emergencies will be available.
